ThankYouElliott - September 2, 2006 12:04 AM (GMT)
I LOVE this! Thank you SO much for doing this for all of us! :woohoo: :glomp: :rocker:

I listened to "It's In Her Kiss" again. I haven't heard this longer version for ages. My MP3 version only has "If you want to know ...kiss". I listened to see if I could tell when Elliott came in (like I wouldn't be able to tell). Anyway, I broke down weeping again, I'm really crying hard right now. There's something about his voice - it is the most beautiful I've ever heard - I can hardly stand it, I'm so moved by it, by him - what gives? Anyway, thank you so much for providing this site as I continue to long for Elliott and his voice.

Hehe. I had a reaction to that too. I remember watching the show while the computer was on and I was chatting to someone, and I heard this voice just soaring from the television screen to my ears. Something about it pierced me.

My reaction was to swivel around to the television screen and go "Holy s***! Who the heck is that?!" Thank god my roomate wasn't there. She would have thought I was weirder than she usually thinks I am (although with my failed attempts to covertly text vote probably convinced her I was psycho! :rotfl: :rotfl: )

everyone loves elliott's voice... it's impossible not to!

surfcity - September 28, 2006 05:21 AM (GMT)
Isn't that when Randy said, "That one...right there..." ...and the rest is history.

From the very beginning, he was something special.

Even though I have the mp3s, these clips make me want to cry. He deserves so much.

Thanks, mcornelio. You da man!

noira - September 29, 2006 04:15 AM (GMT)
I listen to Elliott over and over mp 3s and some videos. I am on dial up, so go fish works terribly for me.

It looks like I am missing week 7 can anyone tell me what song/ genre this was,..seems I didn't download it for a reason back then, but now I wonder why, and on the music page I can only access the first page for some reason.
Any input would be apreciated

thanks :etrain:

EmJay321 - October 2, 2006 12:28 AM (GMT)
Noira, if you mean week 7 including the top 24 performances, it would have been "If Tomorrow Never Comes," and the theme was Country. :)

chattycb - October 23, 2006 08:13 PM (GMT)
Thanks Mike for compiling this for all of us. I don't know how I missed this before.
I am in tears right now after listening to all of these songs.
How in the world did he not win this competition? I am thinking that
America must have been asleep at the wheel. Or maybe they were
in another dimension-- like bizarro world (in the Seinfeld episode)
Anyway, that was my sob for the day. Kudos Mike!

NO ONE WILL EVER CONVINCE ME THAT THIS CONTEST

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but does anyone know where I can download Elliott's radio interviews, especially the Whoopi one? And does anyone know where I can find just the live singing from his radio interviews? I love the way he sounds live! :)

Itslate has a great thread in "The Man" forum which lists Elliott's appearances, radio interviews and performances and provides links for viewing, listening and/or downloading.

Cool, thanks! How in the heck did I miss this? :headsmack:

Hearing the audio clips makes a huge difference as opposed to when I was hearing the songs on TV. I can hear his voice much better in the audio clips than I could when I saw him performing them on TV.

ok it may just be me but when E sings 'i dont wanna be' by gavin degraw, dose he mess up? he says "i dont wanna be anything other than a two souls in one" is the 'a' a mess up?

chloewannabee - September 7, 2007 02:19 PM (GMT)
OMIGOD!!!!! I just spent the last hour+ listening to all the songs. I have this on a cd, but havent't listened to it for a while.
I'm at work, so it's headphones, which is really the best way to listen!
It's hysterical....I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, yet as I listen to this, I can remember EVERYTHING, in vivid detail! What E was wearing, ( the SUITS! o god , the SUITS!!!!)the length of his hair, his shoes, his hand gestures, the SUITS!!!!, the judges reactions, the audience reactions, THE SONG FOR YOU SUIT!!!, the SONG FOR YOU SONG!!!!!!
Was it all just a little more than a year ago??????? It seems like a lifetime ago, yet at the same time , it seems like only yesterday.
Thank God for the E-train! It's the only place that it seems perfectly NORMAL, to write things like this!

elliottbabe - September 8, 2007 04:20 AM (GMT)
chloe.........i just listened to all the songs again, too....and it brought back all the old feelings....the overwheming delight, the anxiety, the tears.....OMG is he real????? he IS too hip for room.........but as rick says...we believed.....and we now share this amazing, beautiful, talented, sweet, kind, gentle, loving human being with the whole world. how fortunate we all are.

No, he switched the lyrics 'prison guard's son' and 'specialist's son' at the beginning. (I thought those were weird lyrics til I heard Degraw's dad is a prison guard and his mom is a doctor.)

And BTW, RBB, Welcome! I just noticed that was your first post.

And I agree it's a strange phenomenon, Chloe...I can't believe I see pics that sometimes have no identifying marks other than a certain facial expression, and I can immediately say "Oh, that's from ..... night". It all seems like yesterday because it was yesterday, and it seems like a long time ago because all the great things that have happened since then would normally take ages.
