Well I'm finally going to try and write this recap along with the pictures. What an amazing day. It's still sinking in. I want to start by thanking realitymom for the wonderful post she made yesterday. It was so incredible to hear the excitement in her voice after she talked to Ace.
Okay, now from the beginning. I got to Arco Arena around 1:35. In the back of my mind I had been worried that we wouldn't be allowed in the parking lot because Arco has stupid rules. Sure enough, no admittance 'til 2 hours before show time! Ugh. I drove up by the Box Office and saw the Poptarts truck, but no Poptarts people in sight. It wasn't looking good. I called Felisha (Elliott_Yamin_Fan4Life) to let her know about the parking lot situation. She was running behind anyway, but she encouraged me that it would still be possible to see the Idols.
So I drove back down to where I could see the buses. There is a divder that goes around the parking lot but it's just grass and trees, no actual barricades. I noticed a group of Chris fans parked on the side of the road by one of the main entrances so I pulled over too. We were all watching the buses to see if anybody would come out. Then this car pulled up across from us (inside the parking lot) and they were trying to find an exit I guess. I noticed the driver had on a red hat, but I couldn't see a face. As he turned around to zoom off in the other direction I realized it had been Elliott. The Chris fans confirmed that it was him. :headsmack: They thought Katharine was in the passenger seat, but I think it was Jamie. She got out of the car to move a barricade, but they were too far away for me to tell for sure.
Not long after that I saw a green scooter over by the buses. It was Bucky. Then it was scooter #2, Chris with no shirt on. Everyone moved over to the grass divider in hopes they would come over to see us. "CHRIS! BUCKY! We can't come any closer!" A few more people had shown up and there were about 15 of us standing there. A couple of the girls who were there to see The Daughtry, said they had already been shooed off by security once on the other side of the arena so they didn't want to try going across the parking lot. So Bucky & Chris rode around for a while and everyone kept calling to them. Then they disappeared behind the buses. About 5-10 minutes later we saw Bucky again and he was walking in our direction. Yay! He came over, with Mr. Security Guard right behind him. He took pics with everyone and signed autographs. One lady (she was a riot) asked him, "Hey Bucky do you have a girlfriend?" A whole bunch of us said practically in unison, "He's married." lol. He held out his left hand. His wedding ring is gorgeous too. Bucky is such a nice guy. It was so great to meet him.
So then he headed back to the buses, and not long after that here comes Chris, energy drink in hand. The Daughtry fans were having their fangirl moments, one of them started to cry. Awww. Here's my picture with him, he wasn't looking at the right camera. He signed my cd too.
Then once he'd taken pics with everyone he said he had to get back to the bus, so he waved and off he went. *Insert more fangirl moments here.*
Somebody said "Where is Ace? He's usually the first one out to meet the fans." Then right after that, there he was. He looked amazing. His eyes! Wow.
Here's the other pic of him talking to realitymom. He just couldn't get over how awesome her name is. "DREAM-UH. I love your name."
The purple bracelet on his wrist says "HOPE FOR MACKENZIE." I think he really appreciated RM asking him about her. It was cute when he said he's planning to take Mackenzie on a movie date when the tour is over. What a guy. :wub: As he was getting ready to leave I asked him if he could do me one more favor, I was trying not to be a pest. I asked if he could give the Kings jersey to Elliott since I didn't know if he was going to make it out to see us or not. He took it from me and said is this the team for here, and I said yep and it's got his name on the back. "He'll love it. I'll make him wear it during the show." Still laughing about that statement. Thanks Ace!

After Ace left we were all just standing around in a daze wondering if there was still hope to see Elliott (and Taylor for the Soul Patroller's that were there.) Somebody said they thought the meet & greet might be going on inside the venue so we just weren't sure. Felisha had parked on the other side of the arena near one of the shopping centers so she was walking from that side and she finally called me from up by the Box Office. We were trying to see each other across the parking lot, and I just decided, we've stood here long enough what are they gonna do to us, so I started walking toward her. It was great getting to meet Felisha. She's such a sweetheart and so funny.
As she said in the other thread, one of the Soul Patroller's begged the Arco security guy to let her meet Taylor. He promised her he'd get Taylor to come out to see everyone. A little while later I heard screams and Taylor's name. There he was. A bunch of us decided, lets just meet him half way by the caution taped area. Security ended up being cool with it. Anyway, as we started to walk toward Taylor, I saw Elliott coming from behind one of the buses. OMG! As I got closer I noticed something purple over his right shoulder. It was my jersey!
It was so crazy and loud, and I was so shocked that I didn't get to talk to him much. I did tell him the jersey was from me and he thanked me and gave me a hug! He said "I'm gonna wear it tonight." Yay! Thank you Felisha for taking this picture.
Here he is talking to her, and then a pic with both of us. "Say E-Train!"
As for Taylor, I didn't get a picture with him. I didn't want to leave where I was standing by Elliott. Then Taylor walked toward the area where we had all gathered before. There were a few people still over there. I think one of the ladies might have been handicapped or something so she stayed by her car. It was nice of him to go over to her.
In the meantime Elliott said he had to go and we all said bye and "We love you." He thanked us and walked back toward the buses. I met my Idol! :woohoo:
I decided to go try and get Taylor's autograph as he was walking back toward the buses too. A member of his entourage said "No more pictures, he has to go soundcheck." Felisha was walking next to him getting his autograph and I was able to ask him to sign my cd too.

Wow, I hoped for a chance just to see Elliott for five minutes. I never imagined I'd get to see all five guys like that. Thank you once again to everyone who wished me luck before the show and for encouraging me to go early. Love you all! :glomp: I still can't believe this all happened. I'll post a recap of the concert in a seperate thread.

I kind of thought the purple bracelet was for Mackenzie based on the colors on her myspace cite. Elliott was wearing one at the San Diego concert. In fact ElliotCat101 posted that several of them were. That was very sweet of all of them. :wub:
