Title: San Jose Concert Part 1
Description: A different perspective

My San Jose Concert Experience

I will tell my experience just a little differently. Everyone else has done a great job of giving a play by play of the concert and the performers. We all know how the concert runs, the songs, the set, the sequence etc. So I’m not going to give that part of the show. We all know its great! Elliott sounds amazing in person. Actually, they all sound better. Ace has improved and Kelly is funny. Lisa is soooo appreciative of our reaction to her songs.

At first I wasn’t going to the show. It’s three hours away and I had previous plans. As I listen to the Etrainers talk about their experiences I opted to make a change and attend San Jose. When I made that decision, I asked the Secret Society of Oldies if they would be willing to send me pictures so that I could make a digital scrapbook of us for Elliott. With their cooperation and much hair pulling learning a new software, the album was done.

I hoped that I might be able to get into a meet and greet to present it to him. Alas, that was not to be. As I drove up and saw the line I ran to see if we could get in. No luck, if I wasn’t on the pre-ordained list there was NO WAY I would get in. I was prepared for that. My joy came when Rachel from Israel was able to meet Elliott win she came to the States.

As Linda (my friend I stayed with) and I began to walk to the Sonoma Chicken Coop to meet Mike and his wife Cathy for dinner before the show, there was an energetic young woman walking with a friend in her green Elliott shirt and Elliott JD bracelets. I tapped her on the shoulder and asked if she got into the meet and greet? She said no. She looked a me and said “Gogo?” I said “yes.” I’m Felisha she shouted and grabbed me and gave a me hug. In the next hour we met her “friend” who is her mother. A “friend” in deed she is to this young, enthusiastic, can-do attitude young woman. She has supported Felisha in the banner effort of collecting names to give to Elliott as a gift. One Etrainer, Shelly as we all know as SK888, made a very appropriate remark about Felisha. “She is someone I would hire. She has a ‘can do attitude’ and nothing will deter her.” I agree.

We then met Mike and Cathy and Shelly. We sat outside because it was cooler than inside. Mike is a soft spoken “can-do” person too. He gracious in every way. His wife Cathy is also a gracious lady with a beautiful smile. As we ate and visited I heard Mike say he had to go to will call. I thought “I bet he has backstage passes but doesn’t want to hurt our feelings because he knows only so many people can fit in.” I was prepared for that too.
