Title: Elliott Was Incredible In Sacramento
Description: He and Chris were the BEST hands down
calliegirl - September 2, 2006 08:39 PM (GMT)
3 preteens and I skipped school (including me...I teach 5th grade) Tues afternoon to drive 3.5 hours to Sacramento to see the concert. We took time to decorate the truck...AI or BUST, We love Elliott, Elliott #1, etc.
We had okay seats (lower level, not floor, close to an exit) and were surrounded by other Elliott and Chris fans!!!!
The place was packed and all of the idols did a good job. The ones who stood out the most were the boys. Chris and Elliott's duet was so incredible...I could not believe how wonderful they sounded together. They were definitely favorites of the crowd...Chris actually worked the crowed a little more than Elliott, but they both sounded amazing.
Taylor, in my opinion, was the worst of the night! Sorry if I offend you, but I thought he just sounded off key the entire time. He is handsome in person, but he just didn't do it for me.
The girls had made signs for Elliott, but we were where he may/may not could see...but almost at the end, a lady came walking by us out the exit and handed me her tickets. She said GOOOOO, take my 2 seats close to the stage!!! GOOOO!!!! and left. I pulled the girls up who had no idea what was happening and took off to the floor! I quietly kept them behind me (I had only 2 tickets, but 4 people) and showed security the tickets. He ushered us to our seats and I manouvered them (so he couldn't see how many we had) past him to the seats. The idols performed 2 more songs while were were in the new seats...Finally Elliott saw our signs and waved and pointed to us! The girls were sooooooo excited!!!!!!!
We hung around afterwards and got autographs from Kellie, Bucky, Ace, Paris, and Katherine. The first 4 were sweet as pie. Not kidding, they were incredible! Kellie is really a beautiful girl and very genuine. Ace was as good-looking as he was on television and really had a gorgeous smile. The one who was better looking in person was Bucky. He was very handsome with beautiful skin!!! Paris was sweet too. They really took time to go around to EVERYONE and most of the ones lined up were kids!!!
I was somewhat disappointed when Katherine came around tossing her hair and flirting with security. She never made eye contact with the crowd and acted like she had better things to do with her time. Oh well, I never liked McButt anyway. At least the girls got her autograph...and she is pretty famous!
The most diappointing appearance was from Taylor. He came right between the crowd waiting for autographs and never acknowledged one person. He could have at least waved and said thank you for waiting for me, but I can't sign...blah, blah, blah...but not even a glance at these kids screaming his name. I've read that he has done some nice things for other concert goers and at the earlier meet and greet. But come on, what kind of effort does it take to wave?
The entire crowd waiting for autographs was shouting ELLIOTT, ELLIOTT,
ELLIOTT, but we never saw him!!! It was so sad, but we really were happy he saw our signs (and yes, mine said Elliott # 1 and ETRAIN in HUGE letters).
We saw Chris come out on a scooter, but he did not make it around to many people for autographs before their mangers said time to go!!!
Anyway, I finally got back to the Grand Sheraton at 12:15am, and listened to excited conversation for another hour before we managed to sleep.
I am telling you that it was worth skipping school and the long drive for the acknowledgement we receved from Elliott at the concert, the pointing and waving (the girls said he winked?, but I think they made that up) and the autographs afterwards, even though we did not see Elliott. I wish we would have told one of them to give a note to Elliott, but we thought he would be coming out next!!!! BOOOHOOO!
But, overall, what a wonderful time!!! :etrain:

Great read. Thanks for posting. That was nice of you to take the kids on such a grand adventure for some wonderful memories. Happy all of you had a good time.
Elliott likes to wink. He did it a often on the show. The kiids may have seen Elliott wink at them.
Also, that was very kind of the lady to give you tickets for better seats. Every once in a while people just surprise the heck out of you with random acts of kindness.

LOL. Cute story. I especially like the idea of a 5th grade teacher skipping school with students! Glad you had a good time. I'm going to Tacoma tonight and really looking forward to it.

I was at this concert too, and I was waiting for autographs as well. Taylor came out that first time and went onto the bus, but he did come back out and sign autographs for everyone. It just took him a little while to get back out! He was very nice and signed for everyone who was still waiting when he did come back!
