so, I'm watching the DCI finals tonite on ESPN 2. Am I the only one who's into this?

My fiancee used to march corp., and one of my closest friends was a Madison Scout this year so DCI's been kind of engrained into me.

Hey! I've never actually posted before, but I come here often to catch up on the latest in the land of E. Your topic caught my eye 'cause I was watching DCI tonight, too. My husband and I were actually at Finals this year. We were both in marching band and marched indoor percussion in h.s. and my husband now instructs indoor marching percussion. We've known a few people who marched corps as well. DCI rocks!

that's awesome that you guys got to go to finals!! i went to the baton rouge show, but it rained and all we got was a standstill. one of my old roommates was on the Scouts' line this summer, along with a couple of friends from my college line that marched Cavies.

My boyfriend got me into DCI . . . he marched Pioneer and Velvet Knights. i was a lowly woodwind player though, lol, so all i can do is watch!

Aww, standstill...the biggest letdown when you're hoping to see shows. Woohoo for your Cavie friends! I loved their show.

That's weird that your boyfriend marched Velvet Knights. My husband was supposed to march VK one year, but they ended up cancelling the season or whatever because of money problems or something like that. He never went back to try out for any others. Small world.

Haha, "lowly woodwind player"...one of my sisters had the same problem, and it drove her nuts.
