She DOES exist! :rotfl: And yeah, she's ADORABLE! :woohoo: :D :D :D

What an adorable little girl. Although, her hair looks abnormally black in that picture. And now that I look more closely, her parent's hair is also a few shades darker than usual. hmmmm.

All I can say is poor kid - she's gonna grow up in a strange household!

SHE IS TRUELY A BEAUTIFUL BABY. SHE LOOKS JUST LIKE HER MOMMY.

She is adorable!!!! Such a little angelic face. But I have to say...I don't really like all that black hair. :/

Well that doesn't necessarily mean that that cute little girl is the same baby that *ahem* "grew" in Katie's belly - if you catch my drift.

I don't trust anything these crazed scientologists do lately!

She is adorable, tho I think she looks a lot like Daddy in that pic. Personally, I think the media has blown the whole Tom/Katie/Scientology thing outta proportion. And the speculation that she may have not even been pregnant? That is one of the most absurd theories ever. Tim McGraw & Faith Hill didn't release ANY pictures of their newborn daughters...EVER, & no one ever speculated the pregnancies were faked or the girls not really theirs. If I were in their shoes, after reading & watching all the stuff being said about MY kid...I wouldnt care if I never released a pic.

Oh well, they are a beautiful family & look very happy! Good for them!!

CathleenSusan - September 7, 2006 08:51 PM (GMT)
The fact that I might have had doubts as to Katie's pregnancy has nothing to do with a lack of pictures, but rather, it was how her pregnant belly appeared to grow and shrink dramatically throughout the 9 months. I also saw several different pictures where Katie's baby bump was SQUARE, not round. It was really strange. It looked like she had stuffed a square shaped boat cushion under her shirt. I don't really know if I ever actually believed that she wasn't pregnant though heh heh.

In all likelihood, this IS their baby. I am just joking around. I think Tom Cruise has brought on a lot of this ridicule himself. I know I for one was extremely offended by some of his statements regarding depression as I have struggled with it for 12 years, and without medical intervention, I probably wouldn't be here today. I'm sorry but exercising and taking Flintstone vitamins is not a cure!

I also was shocked and dismayed by his purchase and use of a sonogram machine. How dangerous was that?!

Despite all this, I think baby Suri is adorable and I really hope she has a wonderful childhood and grows up to be a well-adjusted adult. :D

katirpet - September 7, 2006 11:38 PM (GMT)
The baby Suri is just precious! She looks like both parents. (Ithink Tom and Katie look alike) My youngest daughter heard a head full of black hair like that when she was born. She eventually lost it all. As crazy as all the speculation is, I think Tom and Katie will make great parents. Tom is still quite involved in his two older children's lives. That is a good sign. God Bless them.

ECrazy3 - September 8, 2006 12:42 AM (GMT)
I don't really like Tom Cruise at all, but I must admit that his daughter is adorable! So precious!

SheilaHI - September 8, 2006 07:35 AM (GMT)
The media is out of control, but unless the public stops buying the tabloids and rag mags, the rich and famous are a target. Even though Tom has called attention to himself by his over zealous behavior, he did the right thing by not letting the media invade the first days of this beautiful baby's life. Her jet black hair and blue eyes are a striking combination. Too Cute!

brwneydgirl - September 8, 2006 07:39 AM (GMT)
I just think that 22 pages of pictures is a bit much. Of course, excess is what I expect most from a couch-jumper. I hope they donated some or all of the money that they got from selling pictures of their baby to charity. Having said all of that, I do agree that the baby is very cute.

Awwwww, cath, I wasn't referring to you about not believing if she had really been preggers...I thought you were teasing. But I have seen NUMEROUS reports on shows like Today, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, etc. with blurbs speculating if Katie really was pregnant, was it a publicity scheme...yadda yadda yadda. I think it shameful to report something like that about a person, just because an official photo is not released when the media 'thinks it should be'. :naughty:

Tom did buy a sonogram machine, but not for his own personal use. Katie explained he purchased it for HER doctor to use during prenatal visits made at their home, as it was easier (& safer) for the doctor to come to Katie versus her going to the doctor & dealing with paparazzi.

I do agree about his depression comments. I understood what he was trying to say, BUT, the MANNER in which he did it was sooooo wrong. Not everything works for everyone, & ya have to do what is best for you...definately!!

Ya know what I think it strange? I am always seeing pics of Nicole & Tom's kids with Tom & Katie...or TomKat at their sporting events. I, however, have not seen ANY pics of Nicole with the kids...or at any of their sporting events...except for her wedding to Keith Urban. That just strikes me as really strange...

I wouldn't have mention the sonogram machine if it had just been tabloid gossip. I saw him with my own eyes saying that he bought it to use on her and he really seemed very proud about it. That's why I was so outraged! Katie must have come forward shortly after that to state what you wrote above. I am truly hoping it is the truth.

Now that you mention it, that IS really weird. So many possibilities on what could be going on there! Maybe Nicole is too busy with Keith? Maybe she doesn't like to be photographed while in the presence of her children? lol I have no idea!!

I have researched scientology in detail. I have read several books from my public library, among other things- I tend to do this when something either interests me or disturbs me. And I should mention that I was not referring to Tom Cruise's discussion about Brooke Shield's post-partum depression. I am referring to Tom's great generalizations about mental illnesses in general. Here's the thing. It scares me because I once upon a time adored that guy and 10 years ago, I might have been naive enough to LISTEN to his rants about the psychiatric profession. My worry is that there ARE teens and young adults out there who will listen to him and not get the help they need.

So anyhoo, that's my 2 cents worth :D Now. . . .

Back to baby Suri!! :D

Allow me to clarify...I have not seen RECENT pics of Nicole with the kids...other than her wedding.

It's too bad Tom Cruise will screw that kid up big time.

The crazies.

etrainron - September 11, 2006 02:09 AM (GMT)
i have to say, that although i don't agree with alot of what Tom believes, he seems to be a generally pretty nice guy, and Katie seems very well rounded, so hopefully Suri will grow up ok, and be able to make her own decisions about certain topics.

Ithink Suri is a very beautiful baby, and will most likely be a very beautiful woman some day!!

EDubsGurl - September 12, 2006 12:23 AM (GMT)
It's like during preschool during an open house, Tom is talking to other parents.

Parent: I just taught my son how to say the Pledge of Allegiance.
Tom: Really? I taught my daughter how to breakdance on furniture!

I think it is sad when people judge and say someones crazy, and a terrible person, when "the crazy" person does something or says something that is debateable! we all have certain beliefs, and oddities, but to lambast someone, the way Cruise has been is to me unfair. Or saying Suri will grow up to be a freak, because Tom is her dad, is to me unfair. Anyway... thats my two cents worth. :)

Beautiful little girl, agreed looks a lot like her mom, just wish that she can grow up without photographers all over her, what a sad life it must be for celebrity children, lots of perks, but no real privacy or ability to just be like other kids.

i certainly, don't think some of his beliefs are right, and i think he was wrong for saying what he did about brooke shields... but he has made it right with her. i don't know the guy personally, and neither does anyone else on this board, so i just think to say personal things about him or someone else, without really knowing them is a little too much. i'm sure he, like every other human being, has good and bad points.

all i'm saying is... that is unfair to him to say he will be a terrible father, just because he believes, that people take too many meds. i know there are people that are helped by meds, but i also believe that some people don't need all that they take.

i don't mean to be argumentative, and i respect your opinion, i just think sometimes people are misunderstood, just because they might say something that they regret later. ;)

Ok I just have to spout off one more time (sorry Emmy! ). I don't believe any of us have said he will be a horrible father. In fact, I personally think that both of Suri's parent with be loving and doting! It's his scary beliefs and a very obvious passion for "spreading the word" that makes me nervous for baby Suri when she is older.

You stated that Tom Cruise believes that some people take too many meds and that's it. Well if this was in fact what Tom was saying, then he would be correct as there are TONS of people on medications they don't need. But in fact, Scientology is pretty much at war with the Psychiatric profession (a one sided war lol) and one of it's ultimate goals is to eradicate the profession entirely. So Tom does not believe in anything psychiatry related. This includes treating severe bi-polar individuals, and schizophrenics with psychiatric medication and therapy in one form or the other. Instead, Tom and his fellow scientologists recommend as an alternative a little ride on a stationary bike and a Flinstone's vitamin. I just find it so scary to think that some really messed up people could potentionally listen to him - he being a man who barely graduated high school and has absolutely NO post-secondary education in psychology, chemistry, or biology.

If you do a little research into his beliefs and you also research Tom Cruise himself (NOT the crap that is published in magazines and shown on Entertainment Tonight), you too would be a little scared for that sweet little girl's future.

So really all I'm trying to say here (at 2 a.m. zzzzzz) is that Tom and Katie will most definately be warm, loving and supportive parents BUT I am just worried about the belief system she has been born into and will be raised with. I can't even imagine that little child being taught:

75 million years ago, the head of the Galactic Federation, made up of 76 planets, was a being named Xenu. Faced with an overpopulation problem, he brought beings to this planet (earth), blew them up with hydrogen bombs, and packaged them. Their spirits now infest our bodies: he says "One's body is a mass of individual thetans stuck to oneself or to the body." Scientologists at this level try to rid themselves of these thetans (spirits) by helping each one to remember the painful experiences of being blown up like that.

Once again Emmy, I apolize for my little rant here, but as you and a few others know, this issue is extremely close to my heart as I have come close to dying 3 times in the last 6 years, and without the help of the Mental Health Association (and yes, that help included psychiatrists and psychiatric medication) I can honestly say I would not be here typing this today.

Okay I'm done! That's it! No more talk about this stuff for me!

Cath has left the building.
