patience syracuse

this is a good video of patience, just uploaded to go fish. I think the cameraman has a bit of a crush on Ace, because the camera is on him a lot. Elliott is featured during his solo, of course. I'm posting b/c I love his grown out hair--it's very golden, reddish and really flattering. Remember the old days with the super short hair? It looked like it would be black when grown out, but it isn't at all. (he should never have his hair shorter than an inch or so.)

Anyway, good video, good song, good hair.

I love his hair in this video. The same person did Moody's at Syracuse and you get to see lots of Elliott and his beautiful hair. Remember the baby picture and little boy picture of Elliott with the pretty golden, reddish hair. I love the color!!

Damn he looks good in this video - hope he can keep this hair for awhile! And how can you not notice that his voice is light years ahead of all the other guys-man it just is something special. If he can get played on radio, it's all over - no one can resist that voice.

Hee! E's voice sticks out from this group the same way it did on the group sing from Hollywood!

His voice is completely superior to the rest--full, rich, pure, strong. Chris is a very very distant second (his whistling was cute though and Bucky was adorable) and Chris is sure working that whole stupid Hootie and the Blowfish/Creed/Nickelback sound which is hot now for some unfathomable reason, and which I hate with the passion of a thousand burning suns!

I thought alternative rock singing was bad/terrible/annoying back in the Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkin, GreenDay, Oasis days but I would rather listen to the worst of their music, because it at least had wonderful snarkiness, artistic merit and life to it. You can get by with poor technical singing if there is art behind it--Mick Jagger is the ultimate example of this. Lately I'm ready to smash my radio several times a day and my eardrums bleed from all the mushmouthed, off-tune caterwauling and growling that is Nickelback and their poseur imitators! "Savin' Me" became a decent sounding song to me only when Chris and Elliott sang it. I switched the radio every time it came on before--never could stand to listen. I kinda liked Nickelback's theme from the Spider Man movie but that's it. I began totally hating on their sound right after that. Dontcha even tell me their crap can be categorized as rock--it is to good rock and roll what much of hiphop today is to good r&b!

Lord, I hope that sound (Nickelback, etc.) goes out soon, please please dear lord! Elliott, you're our only hope--save us from all the horrible/annoying/craptastic singing out there on the radio! I want to be able to listen more! I'm sorry if this offends any Nickelback (or Chris) lovers out there. I do think Chris has a chance to be better than them if he can find his own unique sound and not be so derivitive. Otherwise when they go out of style, so does he. Elliott's type of voice will never be out of style completely. I don't know if he'll enjoy a time at #1 or ever be the hottest selling artist in the world (I hope so--that would be so awesome!) but Elliott will have the best shot at a consistent lifetime career of any idol.

On an aside--they played Wierd Al Yankovic's parody by request on my local radio station of James Blunt's "You're Beautiful". It's called "You're Pitiful" and yup, Wierd Al sings it way BETTER than James Blunt! Could be his best parody since his "Eat It" days.

I loved the hair too! Elliott did something in the middle of the song that made the ladies suddenly scream (I think it was him because he had a wicked grin on his face right after). Wonder what it was? The camera wasn't on him then.

I think the Syracuse show had to be the best Elliott that I've seen on tour. He really has developed that "stage presence" that they said he was missing--wow! :thud:
