I couldn't agree with you more. I don't know what I'll do for my Elliott fix either.

I already posted this in the man thread, but I'll put it here too. Yea I'm really bummed!
Isn't that the truth. I've been anticipating this weekend with both excitement and dread. I am so happy to be going to the next to last show, and meeting up with a bunch of E-trainers that have thus far been just names on a board. I am so anxious to meet and greet fellow etrainers, and of course hoping to meet and greet the idols once again. BUT, then I realize that this is the last time the idols will be together, and that makes me incredibly sad. It has been the summer of their lives, to be sure, and I know they'll cherish the memories for a long , long time to come. Throughout their whirlwind tour, they have had one constant....the love and support from all their fans all over the world. Speaking for myself, I feel like I was at all 60 concerts, due to all the wonderful pictures, stories, recaps, and such, from e-trainers all over the country( and several out of the country)It was surely a summer to remember! And now as it draws to a close, I can only thank all of you for sharing so much!
It was a wonderful journey, only made greater by all the love right here on the e-train.
All I have to say now, is , FIELD TRIP!!!!. I think I will just have to point the e-train to Wilkes Barre, and put it on auto pilot!

I didn't even get to go to a concert, and I'm feeling sad! :( But I'm also THRILLED that Elliott is FREE, and I am MORE than ready to buy his first CD! :D

It is kind of sad. We have the cd to look forward to, but we don't have a date for that. Who knows when he will be performing live again? Whenever and whereever, I will try to be there!

Me too. I'm really jonesing here. I put on all my old record collection...this is quality sound...and it's not working. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Moody Blues, Grand Funk, Grateful Dead, Beatles, ...none of it is filling the void for me.

Already missing Elliott... We need to keep each other posted of any and all Elliott appearances so we don't miss anything! E train hasn't let me down yet!

I feel this sadness BIG TIME! I am really relieved it is not just me. ANd i have learned do NOT talk about this with mainstream friends. They look at me like i have something wrong with me. thank God for all of you! you are my sanctuary against the "storm"..........................

I know it isn't the same, but his band Lmbo is brilliant, and since I was watching Elliott the whole time so closely I didn't really get to "see" them. Later, I met them and found them adorable. What about checking out a Lmbo concert in the meantime? They hail from Alabama and I get the impression they perform a lot. They also have a website.

Here is the schedule. They play alot, unfortunately for me, mostly in the deep South, but I am game, since airfare is pretty cheap now. How's about that New Years Eve performance in Florida?:
http://www.thelittlememphisbluesorchestra.com/You can hear more of them on their My Space. This is exactly the kind of stuff my husband loves. I am planning to send him the link now too..
http://www.myspace.com/littlememphisbluesorchestraElliott has great musical taste, and he chose them!

This is a great idea!!! I hope some ETrain folks can go to spend New Years Eve with LMBO - it would be a blast!

Some people thought they overplayed in the concert or that the sound system made them too loud...I did love the percussion and drums. I listened to some of their own music and I thought it was great. I do think Elliott sometime soon needs to put together his own band that suits his performing style perfectly.

When I returned from my glorious trip to Richmond to hear Elliott in concert I got really ill. I could barely do anything yesterday. Today I'm feeling some better, but I'm so sad that I can't keep from crying. I think that I was actually ill from sadness - feeling so sick kept me from despair. Now I really should not feel this way, because Elliott's performance convinced me that he is here to stay, but I still have that pressing sense of urgency, I want the whole world to hear what I hear and soon. We are not mistaken, Elliott fans, he is has the most beautiful voice and the most soul of any singer I ever heard. "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know" throws me into a complete sob-fest. Here is this magnificent voice and it is being delivered to us via this darling guy who shows up to the Fund-Raiser on Saturday looking and acting like the "biggest sweetheart" (I'd say, Cuddly) in the world - then on Sunday he flattens us and makes us into total putty in his hands (I wish) with his vocal magic. Elliott, I really think I'm going to burst. By the way, I love you E-Train. What a lovely weekend you planned. Congratulations on your fund-raiser and thank you for the hospitality.

I know exactly how you feel about the rollercoaster of emotions. On Monday I viewed/listened to the videos of the concert for the first time - and even though the MOMENT of the concert was Love You More Than You Will Ever Know - when I heard You've Got a Friend - I broke down sobbing for no apparent reason. I think it was just the culmination of so many emotions, Elliott so exceeding our expectations in every way - and the fact that he really, really meant the lyrics to that song - it was his song to his fans. Also, so many friendships have been made over the past year on ETrain and we finally came together in person at a celebration/launching of his career. High emotional times. But - no reason to be sad because this ride is far from over and we have much work still to do so that Elliott will be the legend he is destined to be.
E-Train rides on ya'll! :etrain: :rocker:

You've Got A Friend is the one that gets me too. You can tell it's completely heartfelt and he even keeps it real by singing ya'll in the song. I teared up at the concert and I still do when I hear it. I also love that you can hear the audience singing along. Elliott is amazing.
