Title: Wilkes-Barre LMBO Show
lindagt - September 23, 2006 11:56 PM (GMT)
Is anyone from ETrain going to the Wilkes Barre LMBO show after the final concert? I would love to hear a full report from one of us - or at least have one of us experience it. Sounds like it could be quite an event -with some/many of the top ten guesting with the band.

Well, I'm back in the hotel after the LiMBO show. Those guys really know how to put on a show. Taylor showed up about 11 or so and played a set. People started chanting, "No More Pop-tarts, No more Poptarts." He started laughing and said he'd drink to that.... then joked about how it was impossible to get a plain blueberry poptart - could only get the frosted ones and he doesn't like those..... Mentioned leaving in a few hours on an airplane. People asked where he was going. He didn't reply back.... however, a few songs later, he broke into a Bahamian kind of thing, so I'm assuming he's off for a tropical getaway. He seemed a little tired, but once he gets revved up. there's no one like him... and he's truly in his element with LiMBO. I could listen to them all day and all night! Taylor is such a great performer!
Then he left the stage and the next set was just LiMBO. They were amazing. At one point, people start screaming and we see Ace, Ryan and Elvio come in (and rumors of Elliott - but I think those were just rumors from some hopeful fans. They stand around for a few minutes, but then leave. Brian (the AMAZING keyboard player) ends the set and tells us not to go anywhere b/c there will be some more special guests coming on after the raffle and auction. This was a moneymaker for Make a Wish Foundation. Taylor's autographed PURPLE electric guitar fetches, get this... $9000 ! Brian starts joking with the ladies that he will now start auctioning off his rent!
Anyway, eventually, things start back up. Ace and Chris take the stage, and Elvio sits in to play keyboard for them. Chris says that they haven't practiced, so this has "the tremendous potential to suck." (his words, not mine... sorry.) They did a great job IMO, and seemed to be having a blast. They hug at the end and encourage us all to buy each other's CD's, then leave the stage, and LiMBO takes over again.
Taylor didn't come back, and Bucky, Elliott and the others are no-shows. It was a bit of a disappointment because of all the build-up, but whew- I just LOVE to hear that band play. They are AWESOME and I can't wait to hear them back up Elliott at the Fair.
Sorry not to be able to report any Elliott news from LiMBO (I had really kinda expected him to use the opportunity for another "rehearsal of sorts." But I imagine there was all sorts of stuff to do after the regular show.
Incidentally, the regular AI concert was so much fun - lots of silliness. Bucky came out on a scooter to bring Chris some water, Chris popped up during Bucky's set from in front of the barricade to join him in his song. Elliott and the guys were playing tricks on Katharine to make her think her earpiece was making strange noises, when in fact it was them. All the girls came out during Takin' It to The Streets and joined Taylor in some Taylor style dancing. Kellie was doing some incredible backflips across the stage - had no idea she was such a gymnast. Bucky and Kellie got to giggling during their song and couldn't sing several phrases b/c of the giggling. Elliott was slow dancing with Mandisa during the start of "We are the Champions, which was so cute. The crew was messing with all of them throughout the show - putting their microphones in the wrong places, turning the lights off totally on Kellie when she asked them to light up the audience (they came out with some flashlights instead.) Taylor started spurting water all over the stage at the beginning of Living in America. Then at the end, some of the crew came out with a bunch of silly string and the stage was COVERED. Other crew members came out dressed as very Rotund pink ballerinas - don't know what that was about exactly, but it was funny. Elliott handed a blue king's cape to Taylor as he made the final thank yous.... then it was so cute to watch Elliott - he hugged his way across the stage making sure that he gave HUGE hugs to everyone, rocking back and forth. You can tell that they all just love each other to pieces. I'm sure they're thrilled that this is over because they're exhausted, but I'm sure that in other ways, they're kind of sad it's over as well. I know I'm sad to see it all end (but happy that these kids can hopefully get some time to rest a little bit.) One more large group chapter closed, and 10 more new individual chapters to be written. I wish each and every one of them a long, happy, and successful career. It's been such a pleasure to cheer them on - the tour has been fun, and this entire group is just phenomenal. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not terribly excited about AI 6 - don't think it's possible for another crew like this one to come out of it, and I know I'll be wishing for Elliott the whole time. Sigh.

Thanks for the great review of the final concert, ithad2bu!
Sound like they all had a great time fooling around!
It must have been pretty emotional - I'd be crying like anything if I was there!
I wish all the idols all the best of everything; they all deserve it!

Thanks for the detailed recap of both shows -I'm sure it was quite an experience!

What a fun way to end it. Yes it's so sad it's over, but I'm sure they will be sleeping for days.
I'm actually glad I didn't truck it out to the LMBO show... I would have been really disappointed that E didn't show.
Thanks for the recap.
hayleysgrandma - September 25, 2006 11:49 AM (GMT)
Sounds like they had a wonderful time ending up the tour. I so wish the best for all of them and I'll be honest I'm not sure I'll even watch AI next time. I don't think they can match this one.
Everything-E - September 25, 2006 12:03 PM (GMT)
Excellent recap!! That probably proved to be the most entertaining show on the entire tour!! Certainly would have been THE show to be at!! Glad you got to be there and report back.
Too bad Elliott didn't make it to the "after show"!! I can't even imagine though how exhausted all of them must be . For as much as they loved the "experience of a lifetime", they're probably relieved it's over and looking forward to the "new chapter" in their lives!! I wish them all that best !!

Thank you for posting Ithad2beu I was listening in on cellcert last night when Chris and Ace came on they were awesome!
I had to get to sleep and figured Elliott would show up after I did. Sorry he was a no show.
Great recap!

Great recap. Thanks for posting. Glad that you had fun. I'm glad that they made the last show silly and fun. Sorry that Elliott could not make it to the LMBO show for you.

Aww NO ELLIOTT?
This is why i am glad i probably didn't go to a LMBO show. Even tho seeing LMBO and Taylor would have been GREAT, i would have had a hard time containing my disappointment of no elliott. and with my luck if i had gone to one, E would not have been there!
As for the show, funny how it seems the closer they got to the end the goofier they got. LOL I am personally glad i did not have to witness Elliott in the Chicken feet and costume! LOL I Prefer to see him more in thud style!! LOL
chloewannabee - September 25, 2006 03:45 PM (GMT)
Hey Doxie,
We went to the LMBO SHOW AND IT WAS VERY AWESOME. tHE BAND IS GREAT , EVEN THOUGH IT WAS DEAFENINGLY LOUD AS WE WERE STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO A 50 FOOT SPEAKER!
We were of course disappointed that E didn't make it, but did have the pleasure of seeing Taylor, Chris and Ace perform.
We couldnt be too upset about it, because we sat in the FIRST ROW!!!!center!!at the wachovia arena. The final concert was soooo much fun,We had a great time.I don't have time right now to elaborate. The whole weekend was a phenomenal way to say goodbye to season 5. The memories will last a lifetime. As much fun as we had, it was also somewhat bittersweet, knowing that the tour is ended.
Dox, I did hand Elliott your tee shirt personally, He held it up and read it, and said "Oh wow that's really cool!"He slung it over his shoulder . I told him it was from "doxie" in Richmond, and he said tell her "Thanks so much"!He was such a doll at the "after show' in Bridgeport.
We met a whole lot of E-trainers between Bport and Wilkes Barre. And that was such a thrill!A lot of them will be heading to Richmond in 2 weeks. I'm so looking forward to that to meet all you Richmond trainers.
Have to hit the road now...I'm driving our Japanese Etrainers back to N.J. to Chiko's cousin's home. They all had such a ball. And we had so much fun with them.We stayed with them last night in wilkes barre. So we just finished stuffing all our stuff in my car and are ready to take off. Chiko will be busy working on her recap of their wonderful visit to America!
BTW, The girls gave Elliott a new tee shirt from Japan, when they met him at the after show, and HE WORE IT on Sunday night. They were thrilled
Gotta go now....later

Thank you SO much chloe! You dont know how much i appreciate that! When i did not get the shirt in time for NOrfolk i was SOO UPSET because here i was standing there with him and chatting iwth him and could have so easily given it to him THEN! So knowing you got it to him was awesome.
I am sure the LMBO show was still great! I am jsut not as huge of a fan of chris and taylor, so for those who are i am sure it was AMAZING!

Thanks to both IH2BU and Chloe for all the recaps.
Was Elliott around before the concerts in Bridgeport and/or WB? I can't seem to find any pics or stories from fans at all for Providence or the last 2 that you guys attended (other than the 1 yellin pic at the M&G in BP).
Was Jaime at Providence and WB? Was his family in WB? Was there a party for all the idols last night at the same hotel as LiMBO? Sorry for all the questions, it just seems like Elliott fell off the radar after Portland in people's recaps.

Actually, I am surprised that Elliott wasn't there. Have you ever been a part of any show? There's always a big party at the end. On the other hand, if he was really hugging everyone right on stage like that, maybe he wasn't going to have an opportunity later. Maybe he travelled right out of W-B that night. (Although Wilkes Barre seems like the kind of city you can't get great transportation out of until daytime.)

Elliott!fan - September 26, 2006 12:59 AM (GMT)
thx for all the awesome posts! here's ours..
final concert recap..
well..let's see..was very excited..we drove about 3 hrs, beautiful sunday drive..we got there early and saw many idols including E hangin outside buses..we waved and said hi and i yelled, 'we luv u Elliott!' with my r u lookin 4 trouble E T..got autographs from Ace and Chris..E disappeared in da bus..lotsa crazy stuff at last night of concert tour.. We had really great seats, very close to stage with terrific view..i stood up for some reason at the end of renegade..i think i was getting excited anticipating E..and then Elliott appeared in the shadows on our side of the stage and we were right there so i saw he was there and i just couldn't stop screamin! (i think the folks in front of me went deaf! lol) then Elliott walks out and we went crazy! thud! i was jumping up and down dancin, cheerin and screamin from then through all of Elliott's songs! Thud!! oh mercy! the girls next to me were jumpin and screamin! even my man was screamin! hot! thud! Elliott sounded fantastic! He belted Savin me, Never Too Much was so sexy, groovin and hot! thud! i was stoked! moody's mood for love was inspired! trouble was bluesy, rockin and awesome! u could here Elliott's beautiful harmony during patience--elliott's voice makes the whole song! gorgeous magnificent voice! oh, i luv this man! Elliott, u da bomb, baby! thud! at one point, bucky tried to share a mic with elliott, but they had a really soft mic for E (probably cuz he has such an amazing powerful voice..but others with weaker voices had really loud mics!), so when u couldn't even hear bucky in E's mic so he had to use a louder one with the other idols..
Elliott was amazing and shined! thud! many efans at lmbo after party, but Elliott didn't show up..band was hot, taylor, ace and chris sang..was good..tay intimated they were drivin 3 hrs to airport and catchin plane..we left to drive 3 hrs too in wee hours and we passed the idols buses on the highway..i think they drove all nite like we did and flew out early to LA..so i'm guessing E's probably pretty tired on da bus all night then flyin all day and jet lag..we are pretty wiped out but it was worth it..we had a great time and it was wonderful seeing E! thud!
I thought Elliott sounded the best last night of all the concerts I saw...it was our 4th concert..E sounded pretty magnificent in philly too! We had great seats for that concert too..and i must say the syracuse concert looks and sounds amazing! thud!
It was the last concert, and it had a special atmosphere. The Idols all talked about how much the tour meant to them. There was a lot of joking around, and in the final number the entire crew came on stage and sprayed the Idols--what do you call that string stuff that people can spray at parties? Mandisa did not dedicate her song to Ruben, like in the other concerts, but to the cute drummer. She dragged him to centerstage and someone else played drums -- he was really surprised! Elliot came out early during Chris's number, and Kelle joined in on Patience. All in all, it was very special. We saw Ace's parents but I don't think Elliott's mother was there.
did E seem emotional, IBIMS and berniefan--or did he cry at all? they said Chris was crying..
Elliott was very emotional, I thought. I had the good luck of seeing him at Richmond -- his homecoming -- and Philadelphia -- where his mother and cousins were present. So those were emotional too.
There's no question Chris was very emotional. He really impressed me -- he and Ace spent a long time signing autographs for all the fans. He strikes me as a really nice guy, not all arrogant the way he looked on TV sometimes.
yes, chris looked like he was crying at the lmbo concert too..and he has a very funny dry sense of humor..when fans were clamoring for their kids to squeeze up against the fence just so to get photos of em with chris signin autographs when he was in front of me he said 'i feel like i'm in the zoo'..when a fan asked him to sign her (stuffed animal) beaver, he said, 'i'm worried about u'.. and when he came onstage tear-eyed at the lmbo show he dryly announced before his performance, 'this has the potential to really suck!' chris was very funny! he and ace were very gracious and cool and i told em so..it was a great time..apparently at the concert Elliott wore the tshirt some Japanese efans had given him..we were with them at the lmbo show..great time..

Dolphin,
I'll try to answer all your questions
1.Never saw Elliott before the concert in Bport.
Did see him by the buses in wilkes Barre, but it was pretty far away, and he waved to the fans at the fences.
2. There were no "jamie "sightings in Bport or Wilkes Barre
3, Claudette was not in Bport or Wilkes Barre. I did however meet Elliott's Aunt, Uncle, and several cousins.Enjoyed spending some time talking with them both before the show and at the after party. They are soooo proud of him!
4. Don't know of any party, alhough there most probably was one. Which could explain why E did'nt show up at the LMBO gig.
Off the radar?Naaah. I know we didnt get back to our hotel till 3 a.m. and couldn't even see straight, it was such a long long day. Then today, I wa on the road for a good portion of it, and I'm dead tired again.I do have a bunch of pictures which i"ll be posting hopefully tomorrow.
In short, it was a wonderful concert, a little different from all the others, in that all the idols acted goofy, and had a great time doing so.It was a little bit sad(no, a lot sad), realizing that it was the end of a unforgettable fantastic voyage, both for the idols, and also for their countless fans!

I had some great seats in WB overlooking the area next to the stage where many of the idols were watching the show. (Lisa, Mandisa, Kellie, and Paris stayed there most of the night. Also Ryan and Elvio were standing in there. )During the first half, Elliott came in that area to watch Bucky sing, so I figured if Jaime were around, she'd probably show up in there. When E was singing "Never Too Much" and got to the line of "a thousand nights in your arms is never enough" (or words to that effect... he pointed to this pit area, so I thought for sure Jaime had shown up in there and thought perhaps she was the one with a hoodie on... but then saw when she took the hood down that it was actually Kellie! At other times in the show, Chris, Paris and Kellie watched from the area in front of the barricades in front of the first row and then would pop up and join the featured idol on stage for some impromptu collaborations. The camera panned along that area many times and JP didn't seem to be in that area (although she could perhaps have been on the other side of the stage away from the irest of the dols.....) I feel pretty comfortable saying that she was NOT on the side stage right.....
As Chloe said, Claudette didn't seem to be there either - usually there's an immediate crowd around her for autographs, but Elvio seemed to be the big draw for the Ace fans. Didn't see (at least from what I could see) any other groups.....
I got to thinking that there very well have been a cast/crew party after the show, and that would explain why they all didn't show for the LiMBO gig - or... knowing Elliott, he was spending his last few hours thanking and hugging the entire backstage crew and band....
That's very interesting that the buses were seen scooting up the road a few hours later. I drove back by the Wachovia Center after the LiMBO concert and they were gone.... and they also were not around the hotel, either that night OR the next morning. But that explains things if they had already taken off!
I definitely got the feeling that Taylor was off to a tropical destination - wonder if he was going solo or with family or if Elliott or any of the other guys might have gone as well???? Then again, the reggae music may have just been Taylor's mood of the moment. Heaven knows, they all deserve a good, long break. (I just hope E can recuperate in time to get ready for the Fair!)

I read on another thread that JP supposedly spent the weekend with Crystal Covington in Rockingham and on another thread someone was talking to a member of LiMBO that said that Elliott and others left for New York and that's why they weren't there. Not sure if accurate, but that's what I read. :D

I don't understand. You mean Bucky's wife didn't go to the last few concerts of the tour either? Why would the 2 of them not see the last shows, yet spend the weekend together? Where did they spend the weekend together? Can you point me to that other thread?
Thanks!

Gee, now I'm kinda sorry I responded in the first place, didn't know it would lead to so many questions. I don't know what there is to understand. It is what it is. So, I'm backing out of this issue. :)
