I grew up partly in Pittsburgh. My grandma was die hard fan, she owed a terrible towel!
Love the Steelers!

My #1 team are the Ravens, but I was born in PA, so the Steelers come in second. Gotta love Bill Cowher, and that whole team is just amazing.

My fiance is from pittsburgh, and is, like the rest of pittsburgh, a die hard steeler's fan. I know two of the players on the team, and I loathe them, so my fiance cannot turn me into a 'burgh fan. What happened with these last two games? :console:

I live in Dayton, OH so I'm a die-hard Bengals fan. :woohoo: Great game today. Could have gone either way with all the fumbles, interceptions. etc., but the Bengals pulled it off. Who dey! :woohoo:

I was wondering the same thing! our defence needs a tad bit practice! The sucky part about yesterday's game, is that i live in Kentucky, where automatically people are Cinncinnati Bengals fans.

My fiance's terrible towel somehow made it into the kitchen. I realized this last night and wondered how he found it, as I thought I hid it pretty well. He's under the impression that he'll be decorating the bathroom with steeler's stuff. Black and gold?
Anyway he hates when I try to high five him anytime the steeler's lose. I think there's not enough room in our relationship for the steeler's. :snooty:

ME!!! I love the Steelers! When the Steelers won their 4th Superbowl, I was a baby and didn't get to enjoy it. I heard all the great stories from my parents and my brother, and I was so envious. I wanted to be a part of it. I was so happy that they finally won again. Hines Ward is my favorite! I just love him. I love Troy, too, and I hope the two of them get healthy soon.
I hope they get back into the swing of things soon, because it ruins my day when they lose. Like this past Sunday. That game was such a mess. Deshea Townsend played pretty well. He was in on a lot of plays. Cedrick and Willie were pretty awesome. I just wish everything could come together in the same game, instead of here and there. I miss Randel El and Chris Hope, though. :( I hope Washington and Tennessee know how lucky they are with those two. Chris Hope was Troy's wingman. I read that Troy was really sad and upset over his departure.

No matter what, though, I'm a Steelers fan forever. I love my Terrible Towel!

Didn't he used to announce the play by plays for the Steelers?? The late, great Chuck Thompson was the color announcer for both the Orioles, Colts, and the Ravens out here in Baltimore. There will never be another like him, either. Something about those hometown anouncers that just make the game more exciting, no matter where you are!

Of Course! We love Myron. He invented The Terrible Towel. Also he did color commentary on the radio.
I got this info from Wikipedia:
| QUOTE |
| In 1996 Mr. Cope gave the rights to Myron Cope's Official Terrible Towel to the Allegheny Valley School in the Pittsburgh suburb of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The school provides care for more than 900 people with mental retardation and physical disabilities. Proceeds from the Terrible Towel have helped raise almost $1.1 million for the school. |
I felt bad that Myron retired right before the season we won another Superbowl.
Our late Mayor, Bob O'Connor was a huge Steelers fan, and his son placed a Terrible Towel in his casket before he was buried a few weeks ago. :( He was such a wonderful man.

Awe, that's great! He's awesome. My b-day was last week, and I used some of my b-day money to buy myself a Hines Ward jersey. I love him. His show is awesome, too. :woohoo:

Yay! They actually won today! It was so nice to not be depressed after the game.

They still have a long way to go, but it felt good to get a win again. Plus a couple division teams losing helps, too.

Yet another loss for the steelers. Are they even playing football this season?

I think they are confusing the game of football with the game "Hot Potato"! It's starting to be a bit painful to watch. Last Sunday, there were moments where I felt like they were getting back to their old form, but then they give the ball to the opposing defense. I live in CO, but was raised in Pittsburgh, so last week was a particularly rough one for me (the Broncos are second on my list).
