This is a long-shot, but does anyone raise Alpacas? I need information on parasitic infections of Alpacas.

I wish we did but I have a llama but its the next best thing.I know a lot of things about llamas and alpacas but nothing obout infections and that stuff im sure you will find an answer an www.google.com good luck looking for the info I'll look for some info when I have free time that will probaly soon

How did you end up with a llama? They're pretty cool animals. I need info on what drugs Alpaca herders use to treat Haemonchus (barber pole worm) infection. I don't think there is anything FDA approved for treatment of this type of infection in camelids, so I was wondering what most farmers use.

hi! well Alpacas and llamas are raise here in Peru in the highlands you could probably check websites about that and maybe contacting owners :)

I ended up with a llama because we moved to a farm and my mom said I could chose any animal I wanted so I wanted a llama.and I will be looking for the info

I hear llamas are very good guard animals. Do you have any pictures?? We've had a few llamas come through the large animal clinic at our veterinary school. I don't kow much about them, but I'm learning. llamas and alpacas are insanely cute, especially the little crias.
