I have no one specific in mind but someone who understands what American's want, not the oil iindustry, the drug companies, big business or the fat cats. This means someone who will represent middle-class American's who support this country with their labor force, sons and daughters at war and tax dollars and who have been forgotten and tread upon. Someone that we can look up to as being competent, compassionate and honest, someone with integrity that we can respect and presents a good role model.
Ummm, may never happen huh?

I like your idea WHG, BUT the only problem is that it will probably be a politician and that pretty much rules out all your prerequsites. LOL.

There is a book by Gary Hart called, The Patriot: An Exhortation To Liberate America From The Barbarians. It is an excellent book that explores the causes, effects, and potential solutions to the poor quality of representation and leadership we have seen over the years. The idea you (SodaPop and WowHesGood) were talking about, is the exact issue Hart highlights throughout the book. He employs a great deal of historical examples of the past to elucidate the problems of non-represenative leadership as well as possible solutions that could promote more sound qualities of leadership that anyone whether Democrat or Republican can follow. I suggest that book for some hope! I was really surprised after reading it through.

SMR, Gary Hart was a Colorado Senator (my home state) that sadly, w/drew from a presidential race years ago because of an affair w/ a young woman. I think he would have, and still would, make a terrific president.

I just saw a Condi Rice for President 2008 bumper sticker the other day. She says she's not interested in running, but she could always change her mind!

Although I personally like Hillary Clinton and would vote for her, I don't think she has a solid enough Democratic base to win the nomination for President. As I said before, OBAMA '08! wooooo Maybe Hillary could be Vice President? :)
