Yellin,
I'm flying into Richmond on Friday afternoon. But I'm not staying at the hotel--I have relatives who live near Richmond. I hope I can to meet some of you from E-train. I'm sitting in Section C, Row N on Sunday, thanks to an E-train poster.
I'm not going back until Monday morning.

I'm not flying down either but my boyfriend is driving my son and I 9 hours just to see Elliott. I can't wait. My son's been saying all week long, "Mom, we're gonna see Elliott!"
georgiafan1 - October 4, 2006 06:37 PM (GMT)
There is an Elliott fan on the AI board who is flying from London, England, along with 1or 2 other Elliott fans, to see him in concert in Richmond.

I just want to make sure that those of you flying in and not checking baggage are aware of the restrictions on liquids in carry-on luggage.
All liquids and gels must not be larger than 3 ounces each and must be placed in a quart-sized clear plastic bag. That bag has to be removed from your carry-on in the security area and placed on the conveyer belt (okay to be in one of the "boxes" they provide") separate from your carry-on (similar to what you have to do with a laptop computer).
Sorry I've been away from the boards for the last month or so, but just now catching up on things and saw Yellin's post. I travel all the time with my job and I've seen so many people have to throw away "necessities" because they didn't know the rules.

yellin4yamin - October 5, 2006 09:13 PM (GMT)
Thanks so much for posting this hon..but as anal as I am, I made sure to check the airport website to see what was allowed and not allowed..and have been making sure everything is only 3 oz;) I will be sure and put that on the top of my carry on, to make it as easy as possible going through security!!
Does anyone know though, if manda is allowed to bring her gameboy?? It doesn't say anything either way, so I wasn't sure!!

No restrictions on bringing gameboys as far as I know. They just can't be used after the doors to the plane are closed up until the plane reaches cruising altitude and then again when the plane starts its landing approach. The flight attendants will make announcements to that effect. (Sorry if you already knew this; I wasn't sure how often you fly.)

Reality finally hit when I was sent out on one engagement after another. No time at all for "fangirl" activities. When I get back to my hotel rooms late each night, the last thing I want to do is power up my laptop. Discussions of what was going on with Elliott were replaced with discussions of how far along client deliverables were. Believe me, the withdrawal symptoms were not easy to handle. :P :D

Hi there - we're flying in to Washington DC at 3.10pm - your time and then driving down to Richmond - well being driven to be correct! I wish you a safe flight and I hope the weather is kind to all of us on our travels.

Thank you so much for this. I'm leaving it late in the day but I am now going to check my liquid sizes! Don't want to get to Heathrow and have everything taken away.

that is a great idea.....
i wonder who we could contact......what month do they have it?
also the San Mateo county fair...
desertstargal - October 8, 2006 05:52 PM (GMT)
If the two of you are successful in getting Elliott booked for either of those county fairs, I will fly in. I can do a 2 hour flight in much easier than a 5 hour flight to Richmond.
That would be awesome!

imthesame is trying for a gig in Las Vegas. That would be great! Our kids live there. I can fly there on Jet Blue from Oakland. More people might come. I think they are looking at May if she can get her husbands business to have him as entertainment. If he's signed by then it won't even fly.

Carrie sold out for the Dixon Fair in April. I went!!! She was great.
Alameda is in June or July. Diane Geramo performed there in 2005.
Bo Bice got signed, and is able to do alot of shows.
If E goes to Vegas, I finally have a reason to go to Las Vegas! Book me on that Jet Blue.
