Did you check on the airport shuttle? What did they say?

Hi all!
I'm flying in this weekend by myself and will be with no car so I'll need a ride to all the events. If someone can tote me around I'd be forever grateful. This is way out of my comfort zone - but I'm assured all of you will welcome me and we will have a blast! Since there is only one of me and several of you, will someone let me know if they can help me out with rides? I haven't called about the shuttle yet, but I plan to do that tomorrow. I'm flying in on Friday night around 8:30 PM. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!...Barbie

Barbie- I am not available on Friday night, but can work with you the rest of the weekend if need be - Are you walking on Saturday, because I am not. Are you staying at the Holiday Inn Central? If you can get a shuttle to the hotel, let me know what your other needs are.

I am walking Saturday. Any Holiday Inn people that need a ride please pm me. I have room for 5.

Barbie- if you are staying at the HI-C I believe there is a shuttle. If you cannot work that out, please pm me and I get you where you need to go.

I do believe yellin said she was flying in around 8-8:30. You could catch a ride or shuttle together. Drop her a PM!

Thanks all for being so supportive! I think I have most of it worked out. I PM'd Yellin about the shuttle - thanks Sharon! I can't wait to meet everyone this weekend - I know we'll have a BLAST!! Oh my goodness...just found yellin's post and she said she was coming into Richmond around 5:00 PM. Sorry, I got it wrong!

Not a problem - I'm sure I can get the shuttle or a taxi - it would've been nice to find a ride at the same time though. I almost got the 5:00 flight, but I'm thinking it was booked when I finally made my decision!!

nope, not yet!! Chloe said she could get me...so did Peppers, so I haven't checked yet..but I may tomorrow in case!! I just hope my cell works cause when I flew into Baltimore last year, it did NOT, and I was STUCK!!! Thank GOD someone I know surprised me and showed up there..or I would have been BUMMIN!! So all I can do is hope I can call someone if when I fly in Sat night...if not, taxi or shuttle it is!!

For what its worth, the shuttle service in the Holiday Inn is very efficient!! If you have your cellphone, all you have to do is call them once you land or in the baggage area and tell them you have arrived. The shuttle is then sent to the airport (about 15 mins, depending on traffic) and all you have to do is go outside and cross the street onto the median and wait there. The security or airport people will also tell you where to wait! And oh, please don't forget to tip the driver...just saying. :P

I will tip him alright..."your tip for the day is ELLIOTT YAMIN RAWKS...HIGH FIVE!!!" lollllllllll;) Just kidden;) Well, if my cell WORKS, I will def try that hon..thank you SO much for the heads up!! I will be sure to get the number from....someone...since I am rooming with....someone.....
