Title: Rod Stewart Doing Rock Classics Now...

ThankYouElliott - October 7, 2006 02:08 PM (GMT)

I've gotten so used to all of his "Great American Songbook" Standards covers that it almost seems weird that he's doing rock again! So far, I've only heard "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?" and it was pretty good. Is anyone going to buy this? Does anyone actually like his Standards covers better? I'm just curious! :rocker: :D

I heard him singing "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" on a couple talk shows, and it sounded good. I don't know that I will buy the cd...maybe a few of the tracks off of iTunes, though. I like Rod's voice, though, so I like anything he sings. I'd like to hear him sing some original stuff again, though. I'm kinda sick of everyone doing covers.

Yeah, it definitely seems like everyone has jumped on the "covers" bandwagon! We may never hear an original song again! (Except from Elliott, of course!) :D

Sounds like a good album to me. I love Rod Stewart, especially the stuff he did with Faces.

I'm going to give it a listen. Rod's still got it going on! :D
