It was caught by a young lady from Indiana. I met these two girls and a guy (one of them's b/f) at the fundraiser on Sat. They saw our press release online, and being elliott fans became estatic about our event. They emailed sharonburr and got the last three tix and drove all the way here.
I ran into them after the concert. One of the girls caught the shirt! I said WOW what a souvenir! and i joked with her and said if you ever want to auciton that off let me know! LOL!
They are great kids. They spent A LOT of money at the fundraiser. They won the wallhanging of Claudette and E when he was little. They actually GAVE IT BACK to claudette and said they wanted her to keep that and give to her first grandchild. How sweet is that?
They are going to be joining Etrain soon! They all had their etrain bracelets on, i guess they bought them at the fundraiser. I gave them my screenname and told them to PM me and let me know their usernames when they join!
So i have recruited three more ETrainers! HAHA!!!!!

On another note, Elliott was absolutely amazing. I told one of my friend's that I visited the VA state fair this weekend. He responded, "Do you have family up that way?" To which I answered, "Something like that..." :) Ya'll are definitely my E-Train family!! Love to you all.

i was wondering too. i am a tiny bit jealous of whoever it is. when he threw that shirt in the air all of time stood still and i just watched it from across the amphitheater. i know if he had thrown it in my direction i would have put up a fight! :evilgrin:

HI everyone. We finally had a chance to sign up on here. We are the girls from Indiana. My name is Monica (www.myspace.com/monirose) and my sister is Nichol Kirby (www.myspace.com/kushkitten). Please add both of us. You have to put Nichol Kirby to add her. First of all I would like to thank you for letting us come to the welcome home party. We are still so ECSTATIC to this very moment. We are so sad that it's over now. We actually looked for an afterparty so that we could hang out with all of you guys. We even went back to the Holiday Inn where the party was after the concert with the risk of getting lost in Richmond. DoxieChickLuvsE, you got everything rght except for one small thing. We told Claudette that we wanted her to enjoy it for many more years to come... and she said, "I'm gonna give it to his children!!" She is the sweetest, most adorable lady ever. We all got teary eyed and then she took a pic with us.
Now, on to the shirt! I was right in front after the show. I took a couple pics of E and the last one I got was of him taking off the shirt.
Before I knew it, he threw the shirt. It went barely over my head. My sister was directly behind me and she jumped as high as she could. She caught it, and held it as close to her chest as she possibly could. She closed her eyes and held it like a football. I saw at least three others trying to get it from her. I remember looking to my left thinking, "Wow... who is in the middle of this mess?!! It was Nikki ;) Here are a couple pics of us right after this.
And finally... all of us with the "likeness" of Elliott Yamin. LOL

Well, we could go on forever and ever. I actually have more pics to post as well. I just wanted to thank you all again for making us feel so welcome. Thanks for the tickets Sharon. Etrainer's for life! Don't worry, you will be seeing us a lot in the future! These are some of the best memories of our life. ;)
P.S One more thing that was cool. We never actually got to meet Elliott, but we did make a connection with him. http://www.yaminions.com/yaminions/modules.php?name=Media Go to the bottom where it says STATE FAIR VIDEO and download the last one "whipping post." At around 5 min and 50 seconds we threw him the I <3 you American Sign Language. E just looked at us and threw it back and did this jiggy thing. Too freakin cute. Nikki is actually going to school to be an ASL interpreter, so it really meant something to her especially. After the show, Doxy told us that E and his bandmates do this all the time. Pretty cool.

These girls are amazing. They emailed me in route from Indianapolis, Indiana and asked if there were any tickets left to the Fundraiser Party! There happened to be three left, so I wrote down Monica's name and in no time at all, there they were at the party!! Very pretty, sweet ladies!

:hello2: :mademyday: I just want to say that you all are some of the NICEST people I have ever met. :yes: I have been on several fan sites for artists that I like none of them compare. I am just so thankful for finding the press release on the internet just in time to make it to the fundraiser. To have gotten the last three tickets for the fundraiser is just amazing. Yes, we missed E by 15 minutes due to the drive and yes we missed most of the concert (thought it started at 7:00), but meeting all of you and getting all of these cool souveniers made it more than worth it. :bounce: I hope we get to meet all of you in the future. :bearhug:
