Title: Thank You
Description: Concert weekend
katirpet - October 12, 2006 04:28 PM (GMT)
Finally I have some time to put my thoughts together!
To all of you generous, kind and energetic Richmonders who put together the JDRF activities, I send you my heartfelt gratitude. Your hard work and love for your fellow man is a glowing example of the way we should all go through this life.
To the many E-Trainers that I did get a chance to meet, you are all wonderful people and you make me proud to be a member of this particular fan club. Having never been a member of a fan club before, I wasn't sure what to expect. And, I have to admit, that there were a few times that I doubted that I would continue as a member. Some of the comments that were being publicized on the fan site made me feel ill and that I wasn't fan club material.
This weekend changed all of those feelings. Thanks to wonderful people with loving souls and generous hearts, I love being a member of the E-Train.
I wish that I could have participated in more of the activities so that I could have gotten to know more of you better. It was my birthday and my youngest daughter and her family had surprised me by traveling to Richmond from Philadelphia to meet me and help celebrate my birthday. So obviously, I spent much needed time with them. I hope that there will be future get-togethers so that I can follow-up on my new friends.
Suffice it to say, it was the most extraordinary birthday of my entire 58 years.
Not only did I have part of my family on my birthday but also so many of you. Seeing Ellliott perform at his first concert and perform better than most seasoned acts, was the greatest gift of all. He was hawt!!! His performance brought tears to my eyes and still does make me choke up when I tell people about his concert and his stage presence. I am so proud for him and how far he has come in such a short time. He is where he needs to be.
Last, but in no way least, Claudette Yamin. What an experience it was to meet this lovely lady. She is the epitome of what you would want your best friend to be. Classy, funny, honest and gracious. I would love to see her in a sit-com. In fact, because of her dear friend's suggestion, and with her permission, I am writing Fox today. If any of you feel the same, please e-mail them as well. She is a natural!
I apologize for going on and on. I hope that I have not bored any of you. I just wanted to let you know how much this past week-end meant to me and again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. :grouphug:

I also want to thank you. Everything was perfectly planned. My daughter and I had a wonderful time and lots of $$$'s were raised for JDRF. I can't believe I was able to attend a fund-raiser which Elliott, his mother and all of you wonderful Richmonder's attended. I've been blessed. Bless you all.

Let's also remember that there were many people, such as TOFU and Idoletc and many others, who drove long distances, or even had to fly to be there...I was SO impressed with them!
And I am adding a big thanks to Katirpet, and everyone else, for coming to the party, and for starting this beautiful thread. And thanks to those who expressed the wish to be there but just couldn't be. Hopefully next time!!! :bounce:

katirpet that was beautiful and warmed my heart. Hearing everyone say they had a great time and thought it was well planned is definitely awesome to hear and makes the work that went into it so rewarding!
THANK YOU For joining us and being so gracious! That goes to everyone! :glomp:

Katirpet is was so nice to meet you & your daughter. What a special weekend you had. By the way...Happy belated Birthday...you kept that a good secret!
We are all so happy that everyone had a good time at the fundraiser...A Lot of time and love went into the event and it makes it all worth it, to hear all of the positive feedback from so many of our fellow Etrainers!
Don't worry...I am sure Richmond Etrain will rally around our hometown boy again in the near future!!! We gotta keep this train rolling...
A Proud West End Nana

Thank you so much Eyess2NKisses. It was an amazing birthday. The only thing was that I did not get to spend time getting to know more of my E-Train buddies. Hopefully, there will be more opportunities. Love to you all!
