I accidentally posted the link to MY inbox, intending to post the link so that the person could see the new "moosak"link at the top of our site. But I did not intend to post the link to MY inbox. Well another member told me that when she clicked on the link, she got HER inbox. I checked, and the site is set up in such a way that you cannot send someone the link to your inbox...that is how private it is. You can cut and paste a PM, or copy a letter to someone, but you cannot post a link to your inbox. If you attempt to do that, all they will see is THEIR inbox! Sit down with a friend and try it and you will see. I don't understand technically how that works, but I thought that was cool, and I am going to post this as well on announcements.
Mike, can you or any other technical wizard explain how this works? I am curious that's all...

That's good information to have, because I could just see myself accidentally doing something like that, so it's good to know that my PMs would still be private if such an occurrence took place! Thanks for setting all of our minds at ease! :D

Ok, I have what might be a really stupid question. :P I have one message in my Inbox, but it says I have two. I have zero in Saved (Unsent) PMs and zero in Sent Items. So, where is this mystery "phantom" PM? :blink:

SK8888 - I had a similar bizarre situation - I noticed my mailbox was full a couple of weeks ago so I checked all and deleted. It said 0 in my inbox and in my sent box (I never save sent PM's anyway) but the mailbox was full. There was no way to get it empty. The only solution was for Mike to increase my mailbox size and now I ARCHIVE my PM's instead of delete them - to keep space open in my box. It still says it is half full when there's nothing in it.
Weird.

I eventually found an old thread, and a couple of ways were mentioned on how to get rid of it, and I tried both methods, and it still says I have one more PM than I really do. :blink: I had started printing the ones that I really wanted to keep before deleting them, but now I see that I could archive them, so I think I will try that. It won't help with my forever non-existant PM, but if it clears up space, I'm all for it! :rocker:
