Hi everyone. I am going to the Portland concert and I'm in charge of the banner that's going around the country to be signed by Elliott's fans for the Portland concert. I'm going to stay in a hotel near the Rose Garden, and want to try to organize a pre-concert gathering so we can get signatures for the banner. If anyone else is going to the show, and is interested in helping me out either with planning a pre-concert gathering, or helping to get signatures on the banner, or if you already have a pre-concert gathering in the works, please post here, or PM me. Okay, there are alot of us that have viewed this message, but none who have replied. Just a couple of weeks to the Portland concert. I'm hoping we can celebrate Elliott's contract announcement on September 1.

For those of us not able to schedule a get together before the show, maybe we could meet somewhere outside the RoseGarden (fountain perhaps) just before we go in. Would be nice to see the faces of other Yamin fans in PDX.

I know we are a diverse bunch. We have one thing in common, we know a great voice when we hear it!

I'm not sure if I can go to the concert due to my hectic travel schedule, but would still like to know where the pre-concert gathering is, just in case I'm in town and would at least like to be able to sign the banner. Please advise on this thread. :)

p.s. Isn't there a sports bar at the Rose Garden? Perhaps we can meet in front of it at a specific time. I'm certain we'll all be wearing green, right? :D

We decided not to go this year because of the poor sound quality in the Rose Garden AND the fact that we only liked Elliott of this year's Idols for the most part.

That said, we know you will have a great time just getting to be in the same space with our beloved Elliott! :woohoo:

I thought it said Rose Quarter. Is that different from or the same as the Rose Garden?

Rosequarter is the area. Rose Garden is the venue within the Rosequarter.

Yes, there is a sports bar in the RoseQuarter. Geared toward PDX Trailblazers. It would be great to meet in front. Any interest??

This is just too much to bear! Elliott is half an hour away from me and I can't see him! :(

Maybe I'll go downtown tomorrow and ask my mom to go to a good restaurant near where they're staying, maybe they'll show up or something!
