Title: Imac Computers
Description: How many of you have iMac?

I've been reading people's opinion of iMac's on another forum. Those who hate Apple and Mac say they had internet problems. Others who love it have had little to no problems, especially with the newer Mac's. Any opinions buy Mac owners here?

I have an iMac, and my family as a whole has a Mac Mini. I haven't noticed that they have internet problems.

Gogo, if you have always been a PC user I think you will probably not like it that much. Apple and IBM formats are both pretty equal IMO they come down to personal preference. It's just like with PDA's...some swear by Palm OS(which is more resembled to Apple) and others prefer Windows Mobile OS that are like a PC.

I have found that people who are into graphic arts like the Mac and those who just use it for business, internet, etc are more PC driven.

Apple has the advantage of not getting virus's tho! My son had an IMAC and liked it, but says he likes his dell laptop that he has now better.

If you can get the hang of the format IMO IMAC is no better or worse than PC but does have the advantage of not getting viruses (or at least not to the extent of PC).

Thanks. I have a neighbor who didn't have a computer and went with the iMac and loves it. There is no tower. Everything, CD burner everything is in the screen. It takes so little space and light weight. The no virus is a big thing to me. We were hit with the Love virus years ago and so was a friend of ours who is a systems designer. WHAT A MESS for weeks. We're pretty much covered now but I'm having trouble burning CD's and I'm sick of the problems with Windows, e.g., all of the security updates. BUT I don't want to jump from the frying pan to the fire if you get my drift.
