Voters don’t appreciate genuine guy
In a shockingly close elimination episode of American Idol, Elliot Yamin was knocked off the show by a mere .2 per cent of the 50 million votes.
It was a sad day in Idol land, as one of the most genuine guys on the show was kicked off.
Each contestant went home last week, and Elliot seemed to be the only one that truly appreciated being home. His genuine, honest, good heartedness will truly be missed on the Idol stage.
With Elliot in the past, and the winner of this crazy competition in the future, this guy’s going to go ahead and call a victory for the vanilla soul brother, Taylor Hicks. And this is no out on a limb prediction, this is the real thing.
From this website:
Metro News CanadaThe last couple of weeks have been dedications to Hicks as praise, extra songs and endless face time have accompanied him on Wednesday nights. It seems like FOX is turning about 10 minutes an episode into Taylor Hicks day — now officially May 16th in Alabama.
Not only has Hicks been getting the star treatment from FOX, who will illustrate that American Idols can rock the grey hair (remember what I talked about a few weeks ago about an older audience), but competitor Katherine Mcphee dissed the small town America vote. Bad move darling, just like in any election, these people are your bread and butter.
I will guarantee a Hicks win. It seems like foreshadowing is a thing with Idol. For instance, last night, both McPhee and Hicks got the grand treatment in a black limo, while Yamin got a white one. Also, Elliot got the extra little consolation prize by throwing out the first pitch. The name of this show should be changed to American Conspiracy.
