I'm not sure if anyone heard that Peter Boyle of "Everybody Loves Raymond" passed away last night. That is my very favorite show. He was truely a gifted comedian/actor who will be missed by so many. That man cracked me up so much, I would get tears in my eyes. He truely played to role of Frank Barone to the hilt. RIP, Peter, you will be missed by millions.

That sucks. I loved him in Young Frankenstein and While You Were Sleeping, too. He certainly left his mark.

They have the "Putting On The Ritz" dance routine that he did in Young Frankenstein on AOL. I watched it earlier. Hilarious!

I know. He was like a part of my family. We watch the show almost every day in reruns. There will never be another one like him. That's for sure.

Oh I didn't know that.
He played the father right?
I remember seeing him a few years ago in a second viewing of " Taxi Driver " I think lol ...(or a movie like that), and I was impressed ...had no idea he had been a dramatic actor for most of his career...
RIP

Yes, he played the role of Raymond's grumpy, hilarious father, Frank Barone. He also was in "Taxi Driver". You are correct.

Anybody else remember the movie 'Joe'? That was his first one, I think. I know it was Susan Sarandon's first one, she got discovered for it right out of acting school when she went for an audition, even her credit name was different. The movie got panned but I really liked it, it was some story.

I loved him. Ray's parents were my favorite characters on Everybody Loves Raymond. I was always disappointed when he didn't win the Emmy for his role. He was hilarious as Frank Barrone. I also remember his role in Taxi Driver with Robert DeNiro. What a great actor. He will be missed. :(
