Is there a way we posters can contribute to helping run this site by donating money to this board? I can't imagine it's free to run this place. I belong to other messageboards where regulars donate money to hep run the site.

Thanks for your thoughtful post. Lothlorien and some others were the first to setup this site so they would be the experts on this topic, but as far as I know, this current site is utilizing the free service from invisionfree. We haven't bumped up against any limits yet so it's Ok for now. There may come a time when we might need to look into upgrading the service but for right now, I believe that the banner ads from Google (at the top of the pages) pay for this site. The chat rooms are paid for by the banner ads from ParaChat.

In the future, though, if the E-Train organizes into a fan club (like a non-profit organization), then we may want to think about purchasing a hosting service, running our own Google ads to fund the club's activities then donating any left-over money to some worthy cause like the ADA.

I don't think we're quite there yet. There's quite a bit that goes into organizing a fan club, but I think we could probably do it.

Thank you so much for your response. You guys are doing a terrific job. I love it here and I will be more than willing to chip in if the need ever comes.
