Title: New Tour Date near Richmond
Description: for those who couldn't get tickets

lindagt - May 22, 2006 09:59 PM (GMT)
I just picked up the following info from Lite 98's web page.

The Idols Tour will make a stop in Norfolk at the Constant Center on Friday September 15th. Tickets for that show will go on sale this Thursday May 25th at 10am. The Norfolk tickets will not be available through TicketMaster outlets. Norfolk tickets must be purchased on line at www.constantcenter.com or by calling 1-888-411-4TED

I dont' think this was originally on the tour - don't know for sure. This is NOT a ticketmaster sale and tickets go on sale this Thursday.

It wasn't scheduled and it SCREWS over Elliott unless his contract has specific DATES in it. He's supposed to be FREE after the tour if he hasn't been signed by 19E at that time.

I'm beside myself over this. This only ADDS to the time before we can get a CD....dammit, dammit, dammit.

:eww:

Thanks for the info Linda. If the tour was originally supposed to end on September 2nd in Washington, but they've scheduled Norfolk (on the other side of the country) for September 15th, I'm thinking there will probably be other stops in between.

On the bright side, it is a rather small venue and if you couldn't get tickets for Richmond, then there really isn't a bad seat in the joint. We went there last year for the AI-4 concert.

It is a nice venue. Ample parking right across the street (parking garage). Lots of good places to eat. Friday night traffic can be a b*tch in Norfolk, so leave early, park your car and walk around. Lots of activities going on outside with the different radio stations. Some of the restaurants that are closest to "the Ted" have sidewalk seating so you can sit and people-watch.

I also saw AI4 there last year, from the third row. Anthony wished my daughter a happy birthday. She's still talking about it.
