Title: Richmond Times Dispatch
Description: I updated them on E's current status

A week later, though, the TD got it right -- with a week-long exploration of Richmond's City Jail. David Ress and Paige Mudd's series, accompanied by Eva Russo's powerful photos, ranks among some of the best in-depth reporting done by the current news staff. The ups-and-downs of customer service, the half-baked success of Elliot Yamin, the tragedy of Richmond's jail system -- which of these does not belong?

I'm not sure I like the direction of our local paper! :thud:

Many Richmond area people are cancellling their subscriptiions
to The Richmond Times Dispatch because of this man. Mark
Holmberg was loved and now gone as a reporter. It appears to
be his attempt to keep good news out of the paper. Many are
distraught over this.

I'd love nothing more than for this man to be bombarded by
THE E-TRAIN!

:rocker:

I'm confused. Is this blog writer associated with the Richmond Times Dispatch? Since I'm not from Richmond, I have no idea.

It seems that he is criticizing the newspaper. Are other subscribers also canceling the newspaper because they are also critical of the newspaper?

The paper has been supportive of Elliott. I don't understand why this blogger's comments would make anyone upset with the newspaper unless they also agree with the blogger.

Sorry, I'm confused.

There has been a HUGE transformation at
The Richmond Times Dispatch. Change of
staff, etc. They want to stay away from covering
stories similar to E. There have been many
complaints. Many wrote in and said they want
the good news covered. Hope this helps?

I was one who cancelled my subscription over Mark Holmberg - who I know personally and is a wonderful reporter who covered the human element of Richmond. It's not related to Elliott - but an indication that the TD is going in a bad direction.

:goodpost: I cancelled too. I only buy
when Elliott is in the paper. I just LOVED
Mark Holmberg. Shocked and sad to see
him go.
