American Idol 2006 saw Elliott Yamin all the way to the number three spot, right behind Kat McPhee and Taylor Hicks. Yamin has just signed with independent Hickory Records and also inked a deal with RED Distribution, which will help promote the album. He also Elliott Yamin American Idolhas a publishing contract with Sony.
Yamin, who had moved to Los Angeles several months ago, has been spending time in Atlanta and Nashville to work with songwriters for the album. The scheduled release date is March 20, 2007.
The first single, Movin On, is expected to be available at all online music providers by Feb. 13. His fans will be thrilled to know that a solo tour is planned for this spring and summer!

Well, I just had a really cool photo shoot w/Nick Spanos for pics for my album and head shots…and they came out great!….and the pics you guys have sent in for the forthcoming single “Movin On” are awesome!….so in a couple of weeks we are going to cut 3 songs here @the studio, live for the AT&T Blue Room…..I’ll definitely let everybody know when that will be available on at&tblueroom.com….also, coming soon, we will be listing all of the upcoming appearances I will be making so ya’ll can tune in!….I just wanted to drop in and say hi and shout everybody out!
