Title: Demographics Of The Etrain
Description: What are present demographics?

Is it possible to have the demographics of the eTrain posted? I have looked for it but haven’t found anything. With 3000 members the demographics might show where Elliott’s current appeal is i.e. female, male, age, US, International in percentages.
When his music hits the airwave and if the membership grows it would be interesting to see if the pattern in demographics change.

I do not think that it would be possible for us to list the demographics of etrain members. Mainly because users would have to fill out the personal information in their profiles - info such as birthdate, location, sex etc. I'd say the majority of our members do not fill out this info, and even if they did, I have not been able to find a way to search for, or separate, this info into different categories.
The only thing I can think of to suggest is to start a poll asking members these questions. I know we already have a few like that in the Polls and Voting section, but I don't think it is a very accurate representation of our 3000 members as it only reflects the answers of users who come online here regularly.

I remember some of those polls from early in the summer - and it was interesting. I think the majority of the respondents were female but the age range was from 12 - 70 something. And the participation at that time crossed the age gamut - all ages were posting regularly. Shirley was going to write an article about fans and she asked occupations, which also ran the gamut.
After the tour, it seemed the posting leveled off a lot. I have noticed on Elliott's myspace that he seems to be picking up male fans in the comments section.

My request was a personal curiosity; I realize now the difficulty in graphing the demographics of the eTrain. Especially, that it is certain the membership will continue to evolve.
You are all doing a great job. Thank you.!!!
