It's very trivial, but on AI.com, on the front page at the left, you can vote for the best album of those AI5 Idols who released albums. The bottom choice is '' the best is yet to come'' That has 1 per cent of the votes. Voting in that catagory would be voting for Elliott ( just my interpretation)

That was the way I took it too. They probably meant for the listed idols but maybe most fans will understand the vote. Everyone take a min and go vote for best is yet to come. Thanks

I just voted for Elliott aka 'the best is yet to come'. Did any of you notice that not only was Katharine 's CD getting the most votes (??) but that out of those named, Taylor was getting the least - even less than Kelly's CD. What is up with that?

maybe only Kat's fans are left hanging around the AI boards. I also noticed early this morning and even now - the Best is Yet To Come category hardly registered when I voted. Not sure how accurate this voting this is ......

Linda, it seems unlikely that Kat's fans are now dominating the AI boards since Taylor's total posts are now 1,604,058 compared with Katharine's 265,843. You'd think with that huge number difference between his boards and everyone elses, that it would be at least partially reflected in the poll. Could it be that not all Taylor's fans are loving his new CD?

Additionally, it does seem like TPTB are carefully sidestepping around Taylor. It will be very interesting to see what their response to Elliott's new CD will be as the new season proceeds.

Movin - funny you should mention that - because I have seen comments from Taylor fans on their boards and even on Elliott's myspace that indicate you are right. The comments range from lukewarm to the "I can't wait until Taylor can make the album he REALLY wants to make" variety. They are totally jealous that Elliott was able to have the freedom he has had.

ETA - these fans were not negative about Elliott - in fact they were there to support Elliott. For the time being, I think some Taylor fans are throwing their support to Elliott and waiting for something else from Taylor.

Just vote on that poll about once every minute for 5 minutes and you'll see how fast the total votes are going up. I strongly suspect that one or more automatic voting programs are going strong.

Could it be that American Idol is only counting the votes the way they want to count them??? Nah, they wouldn't do that. :lol:

I agree that they are really giving Taylor shoddy treatment - like for some reason they don't want him to be successful. Seems to me like they're cutting off their noses to spite their faces. Or maybe they are looking for a good excuse to drop him. He would be better off without them - just like Elliott.
