Title: Red Hot Chili Peppers At Grammys
Description: Horrendous!

The awfulness of their Grammy performance deserves its own thread. I just have to say that was the most boring, uninspired, horribly performed song that I think I have ever had the misfortune to watch on the Grammys. I haven't really been a fan since that nightmare of a song about how "the city, she loves me" got overplayed to the point where my ears started bleeding during the opening notes, but that performance was a new low for them. They used to be a pretty decent rock band, fairly original and energetic. Now, not so much.
Everybody else who performed at the Grammys was great though. I was actually pretty blown away by the John Legend, Corrine Bailey Rae, John Mayer part. And Cee-lo kicked butt on Crazy.

I guess this performance closed the show? I didn't stick around to hear it - after their red carpet antics with Ryan Seacrest - I lost interest in them.
Otherwise a really great show.

I missed the beginning, so I didn't see any of the red carpet stuff. Anything notable? I also missed the police; I'll have to try and catch it on youtube. And yes, the Peppers' dismal performance closed the show.

I missed the performance, too. I missed the final 2 awards, too. But I LOVED the majority of what I DID see. :rocker:

I actually really liked the performance. Alot. I liked the slowness of the song.

I wonder if it'll be on YouTube.

Well I have to say I was disappointed in The Police - and Sting was my crush for many years. I hear they have reunited for a tour, and I guess if they are near I will buy tickets, because the biggest regret I have is not buying tickets to an intimate concert here in Richmond with Sting.
Sounded like Sting had a hard time hitting the high notes any more. Sigh - he and I are getting old....

That's too bad. I had always liked them.

I always had a crush on Stewart Copeland. still do, a little.

But Anthony Kiedis is nice eye candy :)

I thought I was the minority on this .. I did not like their performance terrible. They are NOT what they once were. Maybe an age thing? I saw them not so long ago on another award show they were awful. Maybe it's my age thing not theirs!
Loved the rest of the show. LOVED Gnarls "CRAZY" but what was up with the outfit?
Dixie Chicks! YOU GO GIRLS!
Loved Corrine { shes got such a sweet voice} John L and John M
John M is so cute and so smart what is he doing with Jessica Simpson?
