I was prepared to be satisfied with only YATO on my mp3 player and put on the other songs when the disk arrives, but YATO only makes me thirsty for more and I don't know if I can stand waiting!

I have the Itunes music store on my computer and will check out whether I can buy it myself when I get home from work. If I can't, then it might also be a hassle for others to gift us; someone tried to send me an itune once, and I couldn't even download it! Thanks again!

I haven't seen the cover pic yet. I check myspace, since I can't get it at work, before I leave for work and saw the bulletin there so I bought it and put it on my I-pod real fast but was still late leaving. How about that, Elliott made ME late. :lol:

Ok, this is weird. l looked at the Canadian itunes site. And not only is Wait for You not there, but Movin On isn't there anymore either (It was definitely there before as I bought it). I don't know why they'd remove it..

It sometimes takes a day for reviews to show.

Too bad he didn't get home page placement, but singles are sometime iffy

I'm registered there but every time I try to send him an email via his contact info it always gets bounced back to my email.
I did, however, post a comment under "Wait For You" preview under Elliott Yamin.
I posted that his single was available for purchase up at I-Tunes and that he will be at Virgin Megastore at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 3/20 and that all New Yorkers should try to come and purchase his CD and meet Elliott.
Hopefully some people will see it. If someone else could post at Rickey's I'd appreciate it.

On another note--called my favorite NY station this am to request Elliott's new single. I was told they were not taking requests until a certain dj's noon show.
Is this common practice? The guy was a bit brusque.

I also have asked to hear WFY here in MD and the reply I have gotten back is WFY has to be on the top 40 to be played from 2 stations and the other one I have not heard from. ?
The only one I have heard from is the one in DC that had played Elliott already.
So I guess they make up their own rules as they go along.

Well if that's the case, I guess we'd better buy some Itunes! I guess a lot of stations have very strict playlists and others are willing to bend the rules. All we can do is ask though, and ask we should. We're just going to have to be polite as we can be when they tell us they can't right now.

With regard to morning show requests - it seems the trend on most large stations these days is to have a format akin to a "morning show" that is almost scripted. I don't think they really have time to fit in requests to these programs very much.

Of course I'm gueessing but I agree morning shows usually have alot of (goofing off and nonsense) business to attend to, and it's always more common to hear calls for requests in the evenings. Maybe they just have a packed schedule of (goofing off and nonsense) business so they don't have time for requests in the AM. Plus they have to give the weather, overnite news, traffic reports etc.

The one woman thought by next week we should be hearing WFY on the station She has heard it and loves it!

Remember - patience is a virtue - the Daughtry fans have told us that it took 2-3 weeks to get Chris played on radio. We start requesting now - our efforts may take a while to pay off.

Airplay starts off slow....it's not an overnight thing. You build stations and chart positions. The songs that shoot straight to the top tend to fade quickly. I think we all agree we would like to be hearing this song over the next 4-5 months and not just over the next 4 weeks.

But keep requesting. Let them know you want to hear it. It's the only way they'll know we want it played and played often.
