I know E has had little experience performing before AI, except karaoke.
But I've heard him mention a few times he did some gigs with a jazz band.
Can anyone clarify what band, how often he would do those gigs etc.
Anyone know the band members? Old vids?
Testimonials to his karaoke singing would be a good insight too.

I remember that a girl interviewed on Elliott's homecoming on I think lite98 or q said he went into the studio with that band and tried to start something like 10 years ago.

I wonder how long he did karaoke too ?

Some news sources say he only sang a few times , but he himself said " I get requests for it ( IYRLM) all the time , so I am thinking he sang karaoke for quite awhile .

Wouldn't it have been amazing to have walked into a karaoke bar 2 years ago and heard Elliott Yamin belting out Stevie - I can only dream - I would give a year of my life to have seen him there .

My son and his friends who heard him sing karaoke say he always had a good voice, everyone would get quiet when he sang, but he would choose songs no one knew...

Wish I'd gone with him sometime! :P

I love how he uses his gift to bring old songs back to the present. He's so about the music...I have so much respect for him because of it.
