Overall a good review. Loved reading this in particular:
Elliott Yamin proves on his debut album that he is one of the most talented recording artists American Idol has produced. The vocal hybrid of Donny Hathaway and a raspy Michael Buble, Yamin has created a disc that could put him in the early running as one of the year’s top new artists. Although he took third place in season 5 of America’s favorite talent show, he easily beats out those who placed above him for best first album.

That is an excellent review, and speaks to so many of our comments today

Great review. I love how all of the critics pick different "best" songs. That alone speaks volumes!!
I also just read the allmusic review and while it was a good review, I strongly disagree with the sentiment that Elliott would have been better off if he had won and had more money for a CD.
I may be wrong, but I don't remember any Idol CD reviewing as well as Elliott's. I am a bit blown away, the critics usually love to rip Idols apart.

Great review. The only negative note was regarding the song writing of the song Elliott did not write.

"Possessing arguably the best male voice in American Idol history, season five’s third place contestant Elliott Yamin comes out firing on all cylinders, showing off that powerful voice the country came to love. " :rocker:
