Title: Sales Deal 50-50?

Outofmymind - March 20, 2007 09:24 PM (GMT)
Is it true that Elliott's deal on the sales could be as good as 50-50?
Cause that would be awesome! Does anyone have any info on this?

I read somewhere..forgot where..that he was a 50/50 partner in this.

He said it himself in an interview. He said something like 'me and Sony, we're partners in this thing.'

YEp. From what I gather this is a unique arrangement. By going this route he stands to lose more if the sales are poor, but if the sales are high as we all forecast he will rake in much mroe than a standard deal which is what...10 to 20% I think?

Expenses will have to be brought even then the profits are 50/50 ... that is if I understood what I read correctly.

The great thing about Elliott's "Partnership" with Sony is that Sony does not have to recoup their money before Elliott sees his share of the profits.

Elliott's team did a great job. He won't be one of those new artist in a "recoupment" period. Good for him. I hope the CD is successful. It appears that it will be. As great as Elliott's CD is, it deserves to be.
