 I am at a loss for words... This evening Claudette Yamin passed away. The world lost a beautiful soul. I can't go into any details at this time except to say that she went peacefully. Elliott wanted me to let you all know, but we are asking that you please respect the family's privacy at this time. We are all aware of your prayers, and we thank you. In lieu of sending flowers, we ask that donations be sent to the local chapter of the Richmond JDRF. JDRF - Central Virginia Chapter 3805 Cutshaw Ave. #212 Richmond, Va 23230 Thanks again for all your support and prayers..it's helped us through the day Brandon  UPDATE: Claudette's service will be open to the public at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow. This is a very sad time for all of us I guess. I remember how precious Mama Claudette was throughout Elliott's AI journey and I am teary eyed because it is indeed very difficult to experience a loss especially the loss of a really wonderful person. We are grieving with Elliott and may our dearest Mama Claudette rest in peace. She will always be in our hearts.

My heart is heavy to hear this sad news. I never had the privilege of meeting Claudette, but I felt like I knew her a little bit, through everyone else.
Thank you, Brandon. It was very nice of Elliott to want us to know, and I'm sure it was very difficult for you to share. I will pray that God's comfort rest upon the Yamin family and loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with Elliott and Scott at this time of loss. I will never forget hearing Mama Claudette saying that Elliott had "a good soul". I loved Elliott from that moment. I am grateful we were able to know her...she will surely live on through our memories and in all of our hearts. I am so sad for Elliott and his family and

I didn't know her, but could tell that she was a "good soul". Her love for her children shown through. You could tell by looking at her how proud she was of them. We love you Elliott and family. |

I have been praying ever since I heard of her illness. My love, prayers and symphathy go out to Elliott, his family and his friends. I will never forget the way she smiled and posed for a picture for me- a complete stranger ,just a little over a year ago. We loved her Elliott, she loved us and we returned the love.
